Ruby’s new EP Loveland, is a personal exploration of her pan and demi sexuality which fuses electronica with european and cinematic influences creating ‘junkyard flamenco’. From the intimate nourishment of swamp elementals to a unique yearning of motherhood, Loveland takes us on an amorous and intense journey of monster bridegrooms, synesthesia, spiritual sexual connection and slime.
With the Beast is my 2nd single release from the EP. It was Inspired by Angela Carter’s The Tiger’s Bride and Beauty & the Beast narrative, the song explores ‘teratophilia’ (attraction to monsters/fictional beings) and love which is beyond skin deep, set to a fusion of electronica and flamenco which has been created collaboratively with artist and producer JONOA.
