Yalene is a Toronto-based independent singer-songwriter who blends indie-pop, alternative-R&B, and soul. Known for her confessional lyricism, raw vocals, and cinematic, nostalgic production, her music draws from modern girlhood, dating, and coming-of-age experiences.
Her music blends confessional lyricism with modern pop sensibilities, drawing comparisons to Kali Uchis and Olivia Rodrigo. Since the release of her self-produced debut EP “En Route” in 2023, Yalene has performed extensively across Toronto and on festival stages, building a reputation for intimate, emotionally resonant live shows.
Her 2025 EP ‘Unburdened’ marked a breakthrough moment, earning radio support and growing streaming traction. The project was led by breakout single “Long Distance Romance” and supported by a 20-date Toronto tour, including two sold-out headline performances.
Her single, “OOF!” released on February 20, 2026, marked a bold new sonic direction ahead of her upcoming third EP.
