Update: Novaa is now also producing music under the name MDNGHT ZONE and identifies as non-binary.
Novaa’s sound is blending electronic pop with orchestral grandeur: “I would describe my music as ‘Organic Electronic’. I started experimenting on my guitar or piano, but stumbled upon Ableton a few years ago and fell for its endless possibilities.”, says the producer, singer and songwriter from Berlin.
While definitely a product of contemporary electronic production, the songs radiate a human warmth, also reflected in Novaa’s writing. “Human nature is infinitely strange and alien to me”. And it’s this loving disorientation with which they write about life, love, and everything in between.
Their new album “The Futurist” tackles various future related topics such as AI, drones and autonomously driving cars. Fully a child of the post-internet world, their art can’t be tied down to a place, a genre, a box.
