Louisa Rowley is a Blues/Soul singer songwriter from London, UK

Singing those blues away, one note at a time…

Louisa Rowley is an artist that blends unique, 21st century problems with the sounds of vintage blues, soul and jazz and is a new tour-de-force on the London music scene. Taking her influence from several different artists, Louisa’s sound is comparable to the likes of Stephen Sanchez and Bonnie Raitt and has previously been described as Elvis meets Amy Winehouse! She started writing music, aged 18, to help her cope with her anxiety and has since used the music to explore her mental health, late-diagnosed autism and experiences of post-adolescence.

Louisa began releasing music in the summer of 2022 with her debut single, Can’t Escape The Blues. She released her follow up, Love Me For All My Flaws in September of 2023, with the latter featuring on Soho Radio’s, Get In Her Ears. 2025 will signal the release of Louisa’s debut EP, with tracks 1 and 2, already being released earlier this year. Beckoning a shift in Louisa Rowley’s sound, the EP to come will transition Louisa’s sound from primarily blues-influenced into a unique fusion that combines elements of soul, blues, jazz and funk. This EP will be an amalgamation of all her thoughts, feelings and struggles the past few years and establishes Louisa Rowley as an exciting new name on the independent music scene.

Move On is Track 4 from her Anxious Soul EP.  Written a few years after a nervous breakdown, this track is a kick up the arse for this artist, encouraging them to not allow their anxiety and mental health issues to hold them back and to learn to move on from that difficult period in their life. Inspired by the funky blues styles of Eric Gales, the track’s upbeat backing and sprightly bassline/solo against the stark and confronting lyrics makes for an engaging listen from start to finish!
