Maddie Regent is a rising indie-pop artist, based in New York City.
Hailing from Toronto and now based in New York City, Maddie began writing music at just 12 years old, using songwriting as an outlet to navigate her anxieties and express her innermost thoughts. Over the years, she has fine-tuned her artistry, crafting a sound that seamlessly blends infectious pop melodies with raw, honest storytelling.
With her two acclaimed EPs, MISS REGENT and Girl of Your Dreams, Maddie has earned praise from fans and tastemakers alike, carving out her space in the indie-pop scene. Now, armed with her most ambitious project yet, Maddie Regent is poised to make 2025 her breakout year.
Her debut album, On the phone with my mom, is set to release on May 16th 2025.
Her song The Wolf was co-written with and produced by her boyfriend and creative partner Cade Hoppe, and featuring additional production from Harper James of Eighty Ninety.
Maddie says “The Wolf is as an exploration of the anxiety and fear that surface when you encounter someone you once loved but now feel estranged from. There’s a part of you that’s paralyzingly afraid of them, but you wish you didn’t have to be.”
With its raw vulnerability and magnetic intensity, “The wolf” captures the bittersweet tension of wanting to move on while still being haunted by the echoes of the past.
