Minnie Birch is a folk pop artist from Hertfordshire UK.
Minnie makes beautifully weird folk pop music. She was BBC Radio 1’s introducing artist of the week, Buzzfeed’s “one to watch” and received awards and critical aclaim in national press for her original compositions on life, love, loss and fairytale. She released a Sunday Times Top 100 record of the year with a unique album based on songs heard on the football terraces. Minnie has toured extensively across the UK, Europe and across Nashville USA.
In 2021 Minnie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that left her with reduced mobility in her right arm, and was forced to take a career break. Minnie struggled through extensive physio to get back to playing her piano and guitar. Months of gruelling physio later, she is back performing and releasing new music. Her new songs are a testament to the hope and the love you can find in your darkest hours.
There is a magic in the performance and songs of somebody who wasn’t sure there’d ever make it back to the studio or the stage. She wants to share that magic with you.
Minne released a beautiful new single ‘All on the Black’ near the end of 2024 before having some more surgery on her arm. She has plans to release more music later in 2025.
