Lunar Sounds are a three piece d.i.y Riot Grrl Punk band from Leeds, UK made up of Chesca Henderson-Cox, Anna Reed and Caris Shekell.
The release of their latest single Rom- Coms Are Trash marks the start of an exciting new chapter for Lunar Sounds, who are currently working on their debut album, due to be released in 2024.
Singer and guitarist Chesca said: “Words can’t describe how excited I am for the world to hear our brain child. We’ve been sat on these songs for over 3 years!”
Pounding drums, riffing guitar and group vocals – Lunar Sounds throw it all together to create a supercharged sound and hugely energetic live show.
Drawing favourable comparisons to Sleater Kinney, The Runaways and The Au Pairs, the band have received critical acclaim for their songwriting and live performances, performing alongside the likes of Big Joanie, Venus Grrrls, and Witch Fever.
Rom-Coms Are Trash is about Poking fun at the romantic comedies we all know and love/hate, the song has the tongue-in-cheek, punky style that Lunar Sounds have become known for.
