Lucky Iris are a UK Leeds based alt-pop duo. They make alt-pop songs about getting older, drinking coffee, falling in and out of love and football.

Made up of writer-producers Maeve and Jasper, Lucky Iris’ self-styled ‘cotton-candy kick in the face’ sound has lead to radio play across the UK and the USA whilst their bittersweet, electronic-edged live shows see the band simultaneously compelling audiences to dance and bringing them to tears in the very same set.

Started as a lockdown project, Lucky Iris have quickly gained momentum with plays across BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing & Amazing Radio, alongside a live-session with BBC Introducing’s Emily Pilbeam and Spotify editorial playlist support. The duo began performing live in September 2021 and have since toured the UK extensively in support of acts including Stealing Sheep, Real Lies and Lottery Winners and performed at festivals such as The Great Escape 2023, Live At Leeds and Long Division. Maeve says….

So, I wrote a track about my experiences as a football fan… and as a woman… it’s noisy and fun, a defiant, pop punk open letter exposing the ugly reality of following the beautiful game for women and LGBTQIA+ supporters.
