Megan Black is an Independant, 70’s blues/rock infused with queer pop, singer songwriter from Edinburgh, Scotland

If you mix ‘70s blues rock with queer feminist pop, you get none other than Scotland’s very own Megan Black. After being tipped as one of the top artists to watch in 2023, Megan has gone on to win awards in L.A. and San Francisco, as well as being crowned ‘one of the finest singer-songwriters working in Britain today’. With a focus on themes such as feminism, mental health, the LGBTQ+ community, and addiction, Megan is creating an inclusive and diverse space through her music.

With ‘MOTHER. SISTER. LOVER.’, Megan captures the essence of 70s rock and infuses it with a contemporary view on womanhood and both the power and vulnerability it possesses. The track aims to honour the experiences of female-identifying and non-binary individuals who have had to navigate the burden of society’s unrealistic standards and the pressure the patriarchal system has placed on women. ‘MOTHER. SISTER. LOVER’ is part of Megan’s new EP ‘Full Circle Part 1’, which will releases on the 29th of September 2023.
