Hailing from Norwich UK – ‘Read The Room’ are an emerging pop/punk/rock outfit that embrace a wide range of influences to produce high energy guitar- driven music with catchy vocal hook-lines and a twist of humour. Forming earlier in 2023, Read The Room consists of Alana Beardsley-Best (Vocals), Adam Hearth (Guitar), Alex London (Guitar), Dan Dawson (Bass) and Elle Steele (Drums/Backing Vocals).
Within a short space of time, the 5 piece outfit are fast gaining recognition for their energetic live shows and for their pop-punk edged alternative rock sound that is influenced by the likes of Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighers and Blink 182. Their 5 track debut EP ‘A Place Like No Other’ was released on 6th Oct 2023 and was produced by Dan Dawson at his home studio. Singles from the release have gained support from BBC Introducing and independent radio across the UK and beyond.
Same Old Story is the second release from Read The Room’s ‘A Place Like No Other’. With its pop punk meets alternative rock vibe, the single tackles the theme of a relationship breakdown. The Video features front woman Alana Beardsley-Best simply ‘messing around and having fun’
