Fig by Four is multi-instrumentalist Sarah Statham (she/her) from Leeds, UK, who weaves ethereal thoughts on connection, memory and loss into a refreshing melting pot of off-kilter alternative/indie musical storytelling.
Her debut ten-track album ‘Capture Reveal’ was released in October 2023, and is hinged on pensive lyrics, dynamic rhythms, characterful guitars and ear-catching basslines. Fig’s varied collection of songs swings between the viscerally immediate and the sweepingly cinematic. Drip-feeding melodic hooks and choruses that begin to feel like mantras for everyday relationships with ourselves, others and the world around us.
Like glimpsing diary entries or being walked through a dream, Fig by Four is a shift in perspective that draws you in and absorbs you in Sarah’s carefully crafted worlds, which are full of heart, warmth and authentic human spirit.
