Sophie Blyth is an Indie-Folk, Singer-Songwriter from Hampshire, UK.
Sophie Blyth is a UK-based independent singer-songwriter, who writes indie-folk songs with dreamy, layered vocals and sincere lyricism. Sophie produces all of her own music, ensuring that she has full creative control over each aspect of the music, so that every song truly represents her identity as an artist. Inspired by artists such as Ryan Beatty, Lizzy McAlpine and Joni Mitchell, her music blends fingerpicking guitar with keys to create an intimate, authentic sound.
Wishbone is an indie-folk track which features fingerpicking guitar that builds with the addition of drums and keys into a full arrangement; over this lies stacked harmonies and dreamy vocals, allowing the lyricism and melody to shine.
Wishbone is a lyrically vulnerable track about the realisation that someone was never as good for you as you thought, and that no signs from the universe could make sense of the pain left behind.
Wishbone is an entirely self made song; I wrote it in my bedroom and recorded, produced, mixed and mastered it at an at-home studio. I absolutely love the production process as it lets me have full creative control, so this song is truly representative of me as a songwriter, musician and producer right now.
