The Deep Blue are an all-female indie-folk band based in Manchester, UK comprising of Georgia, Sophie, Niamh, and Katie. The band creates wonderfully uplifting and shimmering musical offerings that captivate audiences with their glistening harmonies and heartfelt sentiments.

Though only formed in 2020, The Deep Blue quickly gained recognition and secured bookings at notable festivals like Liverpool Sound City and Focus Wales, cementing their position as ones to watch in the indie-folk scene. Their debut single ‘The Jealous Sea’ is an honest and raw reflection on the impact of airbrushed social media on modern society, evoking both awe and unease. The song’s three-part harmonies, together with Katie’s velvety voice, create a luscious and enchanting musical experience.

The Deep Blue’s musical influences span a wide range of genres and artists. From the likes of Phoebe Bridgers to Clean Cut Kid, HAIM to Katy Kirby, the band draws inspiration from various sources, resulting in a sound that is uniquely their own. The band’s performances blend catchy guitar riffs, vocal lusciousness, and captivating grooves, inviting the audience to dance, laugh, and feel every emotion. Through hard work, dedication, and a united effort, The Deep Blue has grown from humble beginnings to a band ready to take on the world.

They released their 4 track EP Sugarcoat in July 2023. Their journey as a band is just beginning, and the world eagerly awaits what The Deep Blue will offer next.
