Annie Afrilu is a sensational adult contemporary singer songwriter from Crystal Palace in South London, think Eska, Florence & The Machine and Adele.

At the tender age of 4 years old Annie was singing the likes of Etta James, Pavarotti & Mariah around the house. At 15 years old Annie washed cars for singing lessons, which earned her a full scholarship to hone her skills at the prestigious junior Trinity College of Music where she studied her 5th A level on Saturdays.

Annie Afrilu embodies style with great headdresses and flamboyant attire never too far. A true artist both in performance & creation, Annie writes empowering songs about surviving domestic abuse, struggling with adolescent issues such as beauty and love songs to bring nations together. One thing you remember after watching Annie Afrilu is a powerful vocal, heartfelt songs and the next generation of engaging performer.

Annie entered Samsung’s Launching People Competition and was handpicked by Paloma Faith to be her protégé. This led to Annie winning the competition’s music category and being filmed as the only female and only singer for the documentary called Sky1’s The Ones To Watch. Through the show Annie gained Paloma Faith as a mentor and a no. 1 fan of her songwriting and vocal. Idris Elba is also a fan and Rankin (Dazed & Confused) has taken her photograph!
